Why do I need HYPE, and how much?

Gas on HyperEVM is paid in HYPE, the chain's native token — not in ETH or USDC. Without a little HYPE in your wallet, you can't approve or deposit.

You only need a small amount — think a few cents to a dollar — to cover the approve and deposit transactions. Get a bit of HYPE onto HyperEVM the same way you bring USDC in.
