What is gas, and why do I need a little HYPE?

Every action on a blockchain — sending tokens, depositing — needs a tiny fee called gas. It pays the network to process your transaction, like a stamp on a letter.

On HyperEVM (the network the vaults live on), gas is paid in HYPE, not in dollars or USDC. So besides the USDC you want to invest, keep a small amount of HYPE in your wallet — a dollar or two is plenty to cover the deposit and, later, the withdrawal.
