What is a crypto wallet, and what does “connect wallet” mean?

A crypto wallet (like MetaMask or Rabby — a browser extension) is two things at once: it holds your funds and it's your login. There's no username or password — your wallet is your identity.

“Connect wallet” just means you let an app see your wallet's address and ask it to sign actions. You're not handing over your money or your keys — every move (like a deposit) pops up in your wallet for you to approve. Nothing happens that you don't confirm.
