Can I send USDC straight to HyperEVM, instead of going through Hyperliquid?
Yes. You don't have to deposit into your Hyperliquid account and then move funds across — you can load your wallet (Rabby, MetaMask, etc.) directly on HyperEVM (chain 999). Two routes get you there:
- Internal route — if you already trade on Hyperliquid, your USDC sits on the Core side; transfer it to HyperEVM inside the Hyperliquid app. (Hyperliquid itself is usually funded via the Arbitrum bridge.)
- Direct route — use a cross-chain bridge that lists HyperEVM (chain 999) as a destination and send your USDC straight to your wallet on HyperEVM — no Hyperliquid account in the loop. From Arbitrum, Ethereum, or wherever your funds are (for example via deBridge), the USDC lands directly in your hot wallet, ready to deposit here.
Gas — a little HYPE: HyperEVM charges gas in HYPE, so you need a small amount in the same wallet to approve and deposit. Many bridges can deliver a bit of the destination's native token on arrival, or let you bridge a little HYPE alongside your USDC. A dollar or two of HYPE is plenty.
Once your wallet holds USDC and a touch of HYPE on HyperEVM, connect it here and deposit — no Core balance and no internal transfer needed.
